I have never had an official FAQ or usage guide for my
resources and
textures, because frankly I thought it'd be too short to bother with ...and I don't like restricting the actions of others.
Turns out, it
is short, and it isn't very restrictive. At least I hope so

If you have any further questions, please don't feel any hesitation to ask (via note,
comment below, or
email. If by email, my response might be a day or two.
Last significant update was on the 13th of March 2010 - grammar, clarification.
General Usage on deviantARTI give all members of deviantart the right to use my
resources, so long as they provide a link back to my userpage in their description using either the :
devthespook: text link shortcut
or the :
iconthespook: avatar shortcut. I prefer the text link, but if you have other stock links and use avatars, use my avatar too.
Alternatively, you can link to the texture/resource itself, that's cool too.
It'd also be great, but not a requirement, if you contact me with a link to your work so I can take a look

- though I can't promise to comment on and/or fav everything I get sent.
For 90% of people that use my resources, that's all you should need to know - you can stop reading. If you have questions about prints, publishing your work outside of dA, or commercial inquiries, read on. If you don't find the answer to your question,
ask!
Publishing your work outside of deviantART (websites, school projects, portfolios)If you're a member of deviantART and you want to publish your work elsewhere (say, another art site, your blog, a school project or your portfolio) you most certainly can; it's your work, not mine.
The same expectations apply as if you were publishing your work on deviantART (see above), though if your site/project/portfolio's design doesn't really allow for a small note that reads something like 'this image incorporates resources from
[link] near the actual image, it'd be nice if you could add that to an appendix at the end or something similar. I don't want it to distract from your work, but I'd still like for people to come here if they want.
Prints permissionI give all
members of deviantart permission to make prints of artwork that make use my
resources - using dA Prints or any other service (heck, print it yourself!)
Permission is automatic; you don't need to ask for it, but I'd appreciate being notified anyhow.
I don't request anything in return, as I know selling prints isn't profitable for most people, so don't feel pressured to compensate me. A post card would be awesome though
If you're not a member of deviantart, you have to show me that your work is part of your artistic endeavours - that is to say it isn't intended to be commercial from the get-go. Which leads to...
Commercial workI'm okay with people using my resources in commercial work, so long as there's some kind of reasonable compensation (which doesn't always mean money), which we'd discuss on a case-by-case basis. It might be that I let you use it for nothing -
contact me first though
Not a member of deviantart? You can use my textures too! Though, since you're not a member of deviantART you'll have to
email me with a link to your work.
What you cannot do with my resourcesThis stuff is pretty obvious. Please, show some respect (for me, yourself, and others) and:
- Do not re-upload my textures unaltered and claim them as your own. If you're a member of another website and wish for my textures to be shared there too, contact me about it.
- Please don't edit them into other formats. By this I mean texture brushes, icon textures, colour packs, and/or anything else I haven't thought of.
- Don't publish it to deviantART if it involves materials you don't own the rights to.
On the issue of people only modifying stock slightly (ie, changing colour tones, adding a slight blur, whatever), I actually don't care if people do this - so long as they don't redistribute it as stock. It doesn't take much effort, and wouldn't satisfy me as an artist, but whatever
People with three legs who drink tea (with two sugars) on the roof of a pink bus driving interstate while their pet iguana named Herbert does backflips wearing his blue pinstriped trousers in the cockpit of a steal bomber can......send in your holiday photos!
okay. that last one was a joke. no offense to all you three legged dudes who drink tea with two sugars on the rooftops of pink busses that are driving interstate while their pet iguanas named Herbet do backflips in their blue pinstriped trousers in the cockpits of stealth bombers intended.
If i've missed something, or you have a question or two (or even more), now would be the time to bring it/them up.

ps. I am in no way affiliated with the organisation known as TLPWDT(WTS)OTROPBDIWTPINHDBWTBPTITCOSB, or their partners DWRBTMIMFF (Dipsticks Who Run Backwards Through Mosquito Infested Mudflats For Fun) and HAFTP (Hotdogs Are For Tall People)
And I was wondering about the three legged dudes who drink tea with two sugars on the rooftops of pink busses that are driving interstate while their pet iguanas named Herbet do backflips in their blue pinstriped trousers in the cockpits of stealth bombers' dilemma. Also good to know.
k?
...where can I find a link to said page of awesome linkage?
XD
Ill tell all when i've finished it
