mah' websiteee

For the last day and a half I've been working on my website, trying to bring the RSS feeds of my activity around the web all into one place - apparently it's called a 'lifestream'. It bugs me when I think of something independently, code it to a point, abandon it eventualy, and then find someone else has done it and it's caught on. It happened with del.icio.us (I had built an online bookmark manager for myself which evolved into a semi-social bookmark manager, and tags even evolved out of it when I found updating the category table became silly) and now it's happened with lifestreams, tumblelogs too in a way... but anyhow, I'm ranting...

I worked on it a whole bunch and it's kinda done. Not being an expert on PHP the caching has proved to be rather glitchy, it seems like every second time I try to load it it stalls while loading the lifestream. It might be because I've got the lifestream as a separate file set to cache, but I'm including it on a page without caching... dunno... if anyone thinks they could help I'll give more details.

GM script: Artist's Gallery

UPDATE: the new deviation URLs broke the script, but I've finally updated it - and now it's got two new features (you could say a bell and a whistle ;p)

Dunno if you guys remember, or how many of you used it, but back in the days of v4 I had a greasemonkey script that would add links to a deviant's gallery from their deviations. I had done this because the category links that where there pointed to all of deviantart, and usually I wanted to view the deviant's gallery.

I've re-written the script for it to work on v5 now, actually I wrote it months ago but never published it outside of my website for some stupid reason. Oh right, the stupid reason being that some categories can be reaaally long and would make it wrap... and I was planning to fix that somehow, but eh - it only affects a small percentage of categories, and since I've kinda moved on I'll just release it as is:

artistsGalleryCategories.user.js

devwatch from gallery pages!

The userscript magician, dancewiththesky waved his wand and came up with

deviantFIX:WatchFromGallery

. It adds an unobtrusive '+' icon in the top right of people's gallery that lets you add them to your devwatch. Awesome no? :D

Now if only someone could write a script that lets you devwatch someone from their gallery page
(tip: i've tried, but as you've probably noticed with everyone and their 'watch me!' links in their journals, plain links don't work - it's a post form)
