YCH Showcase - April 2024
YCH artists don't just create art; they ignite your imagination with boundless possibilities. With each stroke of their pencil or brush, they sketch a scene, a moment, a pose that invites you to envision your character within it. It's not merely a commission; it's a collaborative journey where you and the artist co-author an unforgettable experience for your character. Welcome to this monthly feature where we spotlight the exceptional talents of YCH artists, their art, and the inspirations that fuel their creations. We invite you to immerse yourself in the imaginative worlds they've crafted for characters like yours. And, who knows? You might just discover a space for your own character to shine within their art! @Mintarin Hello! My name is Mintarin, nice to meet you! I'm an artist from a small, cold northern town who loves to use a lot of bright colors in my work
https://skitzidy.carrd.co/ Hey guys, happy new year! I think it goes without saying that I'm pretty much done with posting my art on this site. 10 years total (and counting) through 2 accounts is ridiculous enough. I'll mostly be interacting on occasion and updating my collections instead. If I've made you anything that you still wanna see posted, feel free to post it yourself and just credit me! You're also welcome to take down any art you've made for me should you think it's necessary to do so.

Art Feature: Vaporwave - A Visual Journey by team, journal
Art Feature: Vaporwave - A Visual Journey
This curated feature is brought to you by @Queen-Kitty, who recommends listening to a vaporwave playlist like Spotify’s while reading. Vaporwave is an aesthetic trend associated with design and electronic music. The music often takes samples of R&B songs from the 1980s and 1990s (though samples can and do come from other genres or time periods), then cuts the samples into smaller pieces and slows them down to create a new sound. Directly linked to this music, the art of the vaporwave aesthetic is built on nostalgia informed by art and design trends of the late 1970s to the early 2000s. Visual influences include the Memphis Group, MTV and Nickelodeon programming from the 1980s and 1990s, early computer graphics, shopping malls, logos, computer skylines, anime, a disposable paper cup design, and much more. The term "vaporwave" itself is based on the word "vaporware," referring to a product (usually computer hardware or software) that is announced but either never gets made or never

Art Feature: Inspire and Empower Resilience
This curated feature is brought to you by @AlexanderPaupoff Why do we fall? This isn’t just a question that echoes through Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, is it? It’s an eternal, inevitable question that permeates our stories. We encounter challenges, face setbacks, and experience moments that test our mettle in the harshest ways. And, of course, we stumble and fall, sometimes even to our lowest. In such moments, we must bear the burden of our vulnerabilities, the sharp edges of our shattered dreams, and the painful sting of our disappointments. And yet, here we are. Spurred by an extraordinary power that will see us rise, time and again, in spite of adversity. Welcome to the first of four features by @AlexanderPaupoff dedicated to mental health awareness and the pursuit of self-care. Together, we’ll delve into the themes of resilience, mindfulness, self-care, and gratitude, essential to our well-being. (Follow @AlexanderPaupoff to see the rest of the features as they are
New Label Requirement for AI Artwork by team, journal
New Label Requirement for AI Artwork
Starting today, deviations created using AI tools will need to be labeled as "Created using AI tools." Additionally, improvements are being made to browse settings, allowing deviants to more precisely control how much AI art they experience while browsing. Labeling Your Artwork UPDATE (July 19, 2023): Starting today, this label will be automatically applied if an image’s metadata indicates that it was created with AI. This metadata is embedded in images generated by most major AI tools. When submitting artwork, you will now see a required setting on the submit page to indicate whether or not your work was created using AI tools. This setting will be remembered when you submit, so it shouldn’t regularly impact your submission flow. Once submitted, a label stating “Created using AI tools” will appear on the deviation. This addition was a popular community request and allows all deviants to better identify works they want to engage with. Apply The Label To Multiple Deviations For
