Taken in the garden of the parents of my mother's god son?

Taken in my mother's god son's parent's garden?
Taken at koumbara's house.

This is the first time I've had the opportunity to take macros of flowers. I never really liked flower photography, but getting a chance to shoot it myself has given me an appreciation of it.

While I'm satisfied with the image, I've requested critiques on this to see what people have to say, but specifically I'd appreciate any advice from fellow photographers. It'll also give me (and you perhaps) a chance to give this new critique system a play test :)

To be honest it seems almost a little too close up to me - at first I thought it was beansprouts wrapped in tissue??- the clarity is lovely but I think pulled back just a little bit we'd get more of a sense of the whole - plus I think the swirling white is beautiful- I just want more of it.
Well done in all.
I am in no way a professional photographer - I'm just critiquing as an appreciator (plus I really wanted to try out the new critique thing as well ^^)
Oh my gosh do you know how hard it is to get this to 100+words!!

This is actually the resolution I shot it at though, so I can't give it to you any bigger without resizing it in Photoshop. You're welcome to try it yourself, see how it holds up.

For some reason they seem to me like people, gathered in a very minimal, brightly-lit hall. They all seem so intently involved, as though something very personal to all of them has happened and they're all discussing. Like... a wedding.
