During the last federal election down here in the land of Oz, one of the key issues debated in parliament and in the media was the of the asylum seekers and people smugglers. At it's peak in the media the government (or rather the prime minister himself) had selected a group of army/navy type people to organise 'operation: RELEX', and after a boat full of regugees sunk, the PM pushed out photos of adults throwing children into the water. Taken totaly out of context they (the refugees) where slammed for being evil and all sorts of things. I could spend all night outlining the crap that whent on, and still is.
A group of people camped out near one of the detention centers and brought a whole bunch of tools like bolt cutters and such. They managed to break a few asylum seekers out before their camp was swamped by the bluies. In the news the next few days their was this sensational report on the 'weapons' they brought with them to the camp.
Everything is a weapon. Even a soggy tissue. What you intend to do with the soggy tissue is what decides if it's going to harm someone or not. Bolt cutters dangerous weapons? Instruments of freedom more like it
....although if given the opportunity i'd gladly play 'this little piggie' with our current PM, sicilian style...
It has a face, the angle gave it a personality. Good job!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
