Button template by thespook Button template by thespook
live example, and sample code to integrate into your journal

Okie - here it is, the button template. It's changed a bit since I used it, main change was dropping the stroke layer style for a manualy done border because the stroked border had some strange anti-aliasing artifacts (which can be seen in my journal).

If this button thing 'catches on' I'd like if people felt free to make their own styles, their own templates... but I'm putting this up for the lazy ones out there ;p

To create the different sized buttons, I flattened the layer group and transformed the layer. It wont look too good if you try making it too much larger, or too much smaller... but y'all can go make your own templates if you're going to do that :)

To put your own image on the button, drag in your own image - of course, don't forget to resize it before (or after using free transform) to get it roughly the right size - and then ctrl click on the template layer to select the button circle - then select your image and invert the selection, then hit delete to cut it out. Then right click on the template and select "Copy layer style" and "Paste layer style" on your image. That's it.

Don't forget to hide the template button before saving so that the drop shadow isn't twice as dark - and remember that the drop shadow will only show right if you save it as a alpha transparent PNG (in photoshop 'Save for Web', PNG-24 with transparency on).

I see tons of buttons in your gallery, so hello fellow amazing person!

Do you have a button press? My wife, bleedsopretty has one I don't take advantage of enough. It has this big rubber bicycle handle, and it's all metal and stuff, so satisfying to use :)

Sizes, plural! I'm kinda jealous. :)

And hey! I didn't know ours was a tecre too, pretty sure it's this one: www.tecre.com/catalog.php?p=19

If we were to get more serious about it we'd definitely get another size, and maybe some proper punches. We've been using regular craft store circle punches, and it's hard to find ones that are just the right diameter.

they use a 11/16 of an inch I think.   You wont find a craft punch in that size.  And the 1" is good for logos and such.  Not for artwork.  Also if you need any help at all or have any other question please feel free to note me ^^
